Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Credit Analyst to join our team at Lafayette Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for analyzing credit worthiness, reviewing credit bureau reports, and making recommendations to approve or deny loan applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor commercial loan applications, follow up with applicants, and analyze credit worthiness
  • Review credit bureau reports, verify information, and make recommendations to approve or deny loan applications
  • Document reason for denied loans, issue written adverse action letters, and maintain accuracy in loan policy application
  • Prepare loan presentation sheets, credit memos, and draft term sheets and commitment letters
  • Assign risk ratings to credits, track post-account exceptions, and ensure timely receipt and execution of documents
  • Perform loan assistant duties, including term sheet and commitment letter drafting, and coordinating pre-settlement functions

Requirements

  • Associates degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience and education
  • Three years of experience in approving credit or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience with analyzing commercial real estate mortgage loans and construction and rehab lines of credit up to $15,000,000
  • Understanding and training in formal appraisal and ESA report evaluation and analysis
  • Knowledge of construction draw administration and evaluation, as well as legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to lending practices
