Job Summary

The Personnel Security Clerk is responsible for performing Security Administrative Services supporting the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's Eastern Currency Facility (ECF). This high-security facility requires the protection of BEP securities, personnel, and visitors. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with BEP employees in the Office of Security to provide support for the ECF's badging, access control, emergency operations, personnel security, and industrial security operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate the background check process.
  • Process e-QIP.
  • Obtain fingerprints and access various systems to obtain reports and relevant information for suitability and security adjudications.
  • Perform technical, research, and administrative activities supporting the personnel security program.
  • Conduct background investigations for public trust and national security positions on applicants and contractors who perform work on behalf of the federal government.
  • Review and adjudicate completed Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Bureau of Engraving and Printing investigations to determine suitability for employment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in a clerical or related position.
  • Ability to pass a background check and be in good financial standing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Skilled in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
