Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the formulation of the annual operating plan for controllable operating expenses and capital investments.
  2. Conduct variance analysis against planned expenses and support cost reforecasting throughout the fiscal year.
  3. Manage the annual product cost standard setting process and provide periodic updates as necessary.
  4. Execute monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, including complex adjustments and analytical schedules.
  5. Analyze financial data related to plant operations, including cost center reports and inventory valuations, while preparing comprehensive flux analyses.
  6. Ensure timely completion of month-end, year-end, and ad hoc financial reporting.
  7. Identify and resolve errors, conducting root cause analysis and implementing process improvements.
  8. Develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies and customer service.
  9. Communicate accounting-related information effectively to internal teams and external partners.
  10. Lead special projects, ensuring timely decision-making and execution.
  11. Utilize data analytics to support business decisions.
  12. Facilitate the implementation of accounting policies and provide training to plant accounting staff, reinforcing internal control procedures.
  13. Safeguard accounting-related documentation, including invoices and financial statements.
  14. Maintain accurate job aids for all assigned responsibilities.

Core Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  2. Minimum of eight years of experience in accounting or finance.
  3. At least six years of experience in a manufacturing setting, collaborating with plant managers on cost analysis.
  4. Experience in developing financial justifications for capital projects and performance enhancements.
  5. Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools.
  6. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey intricate processes.
  8. Demonstrated analytical problem-solving abilities.
  9. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  10. Strategic and creative thinking skills for developing innovative solutions.
  11. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  13. Collaborative mindset, contributing to team goals.
  14. Capacity to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
  2. Experience with SAP software.
  3. Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
