Job Title: Supervisor, Corporate Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Corporate Accounting to join our Corporate Accounting team at ITW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial processes within our large multinational corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Record equity compensation activity, including amortization, exercises, and vestings, as well as prepare annual 10-K disclosure footnotes.
  • Support corporate departments with monthly reporting, accruals, and forecast adjustments.
  • Manage the General Ledger system, including account maintenance, system parameters, close procedures, and reconciliation to the consolidation system.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and streamlining to increase efficiency of department procedures and processes.
  • Prepare corporate and domestic payroll entries and maintain payroll bank account reconciliation.
  • Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of the annual Corporate Plan.
  • Support various projects, internal and external audit requests, ad hoc projects, and assignments as they develop.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, with a CPA certification a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant corporate and/or industry experience, with experience in Corporate Accounting and/or business analysis roles a plus.
  • Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen.
  • Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review.
  • Experience handling highly sensitive information with integrity and maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • High level of proficiency in utilizing Excel, including advanced formulas and basic macros, with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Oracle HFM a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with flexibility on hours.
