Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor, Corporate Accounting to join our team at ITW. As a key member of our Corporate Accounting team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and providing exceptional support to our corporate departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Record equity compensation activity, including amortization, exercises, and vestings, and prepare annual 10-K disclosure footnotes.
  • Support corporate departments with monthly reporting, accruals, and forecast adjustments.
  • Manage the General Ledger system, including account maintenance, system parameters, close procedures, and reconciliation to the consolidation system.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and streamlining to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare corporate and domestic payroll entries and maintain payroll bank account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of the annual Corporate Plan.
  • Support various projects, internal and external audit requests, and ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, with a CPA certification a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant corporate and/or industry experience, with experience in Corporate Accounting and/or business analysis roles a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen.
  • Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review.
  • Experience handling sensitive information with integrity and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • High level of proficiency in utilizing Excel, including advanced formulas and basic macros, with experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Oracle HFM a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with flexibility to work in the office at the Glenview campus 5 days a week.
