Company Overview: Ajsearch, a prominent international manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled Lead External Reporting Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial policies and procedures of the organization.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will possess recent experience in a managerial capacity within a Big 4 public accounting firm and hold a CPA designation. This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement within corporate finance or various divisions, with expected promotions every two years.

Work Environment: This role supports a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between remote and in-office work. The corporate campus features amenities such as a fitness center, wellness café, outdoor volleyball courts, and walking trails.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting literature for emerging reporting requirements that may affect the organization.
  • Prepare and present quarterly updates on accounting and regulatory matters to senior management and the Audit Committee.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations and financial reporting teams to ensure accurate external financial communications, including SEC filings and annual reports.
  • Provide consultation to operating and finance personnel regarding accounting inquiries and the application of financial policies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to develop, revise, and maintain the company's financial policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors concerning technical accounting, internal controls, and SEC reporting.
  • Oversee critical accounting and reporting functions, including annual impairment testing and lease accounting.
  • Lead and mentor the department staff in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Participate in or lead various Corporate Finance & Accounting initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial closing processes.
  • Focus on talent management within Corporate Finance & Accounting, emphasizing the attraction, development, and retention of key personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience, including recent tenure at a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
  • Experience leading large-scale, complex projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
