The company is experiencing significant growth and is seeking to add another Project Manager to its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of pertinent project management experience with a general contractor and a proven track record of managing federal projects within the specified financial range.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to final closeout, including procurement, scheduling, and subcontractor management for various federal construction initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing and coordinating all project activities
  • Achieving project goals as outlined in the planning stages
  • Managing project procurement and negotiating terms with subcontractors
  • Monitoring and controlling project budgets and timelines
  • Conducting detailed analyses of job costs versus budget and providing monthly status updates to accounting
  • Preparing weekly reports on all project aspects
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor payment requests and preparing owner payment applications
  • Evaluating submittals, RFIs, and change order requests from subcontractors before submission to the owner
  • Representing the company at all necessary project meetings
  • Managing documentation such as RFI Logs, Submittal Logs, Change Order Logs, and As-built Drawings
  • Ensuring timely completion of financial processes and reports, including budgets, billings, and contracts
  • Guaranteeing projects are completed on schedule and within profit margins

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager with federal government projects
  • Familiarity with the USACE 3-Phase Quality Control System
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of federal construction practices and standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction process, including design and general contracting
  • Proficient in interpreting complex construction drawings and specifications
  • Extensive experience in budget and schedule management
  • Skilled in negotiating and drafting subcontract agreements
  • Capability to lead and manage field supervisors
  • Highly organized in managing project documentation and reports
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, Teams, and Outlook
