Regulatory Compliance Officer

The State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join its Gaming Regulation Office.

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing information and assistance to licensees, patrons, and employees regarding the application of agency rules and regulations, procedures, policies, and statutes.
- Examining facilities, grounds, equipment, and gaming activities to ensure compliance with licensing requirements, agency policy, and security regulations.
- Investigating patron complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitoring casino gaming operations and staying up-to-date with state-of-the-art developments in the industry.
- Leading assigned shifts in the absence of the Consumer Protection Gaming Regulation Supervisor.
The DCP Gaming Division is responsible for regulating legal gambling programs in Connecticut, which includes casinos, lottery, off-track betting (OTB), sports wager & online sports wagering, online casino gaming, and fantasy contests.
This is accomplished through a rigorous program of game and system approvals, licensing, inspections, monitoring, audits, and investigations to safeguard consumer interest and integrity of the gaming process.
As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will be part of a team that ensures the gaming industry operates in a fair and transparent manner.
Key qualifications include:
- Five (5) years of experience in administrative work involving public contact, monitoring of service delivery, or investigatory work for a business or governmental agency.
- College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
- Successful completion of a Connecticut Careers Trainee program approved by the Department of Administrative Services may be substituted for the General Experience.
