Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Avelo Airlines, Inc. is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the maintenance program and ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled workloads, assuming ownership of the aircraft while on duty.
  • Develop and maintain open communication with Team Leads, Maintenance Control, and Pilots to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and promote a 'Safety Always' culture.
  • Understand and comply with FAA Regulatory requirements, including planning tasks against aircraft daily.
  • Work any shift, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Provide own hand tools to meet minimum company tool list requirements.
  • Meet the authority to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986.
  • Complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and MEL/CDL procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 feet.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather.
  • Ability to work shift work, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possible travel for training, deployment, and/or issue resolution up to 25% away from base.
  • Ability to clearly lead, mentor, and instruct other Crew Members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current and valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to meet the authority to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986.
  • Ability to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience on different types of aircraft with 10 or more seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station.
  • Boeing Systems Fam courses preferred.
  • 737 Line maintenance preferred.
