Position Overview

The Production Operations Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing and guiding all area supervisors and shop floor personnel. Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring product quality meets customer standards.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and operational focus for manufacturing processes.
  • Driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale.
  • Collaborating with Master Schedulers to implement the production agenda.
  • Simplifying manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Facilitating communication across all departments.
  • Assessing capacity, resource allocation, and equipment requirements.
  • Engaging in personal development to enhance leadership capabilities on the production floor.
  • Providing constructive performance evaluations for team members.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and utilizing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Championing the Vision and Guiding Principles along with other policies of Kimball International.
  • Supporting the Quality Management System.
  • Participating in job rotation as needed.
  • Advocating for our Environmental Management System (EMS).
Qualifications

Educational and Experience Criteria:
  • Proficient in written communication.
  • Able to read and understand essential documents.
  • Competent in basic mathematical skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing management.
