As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will deliver technical clinical services and administrative assistance to ensure high-quality patient care as directed by licensed professionals, including physicians and mid-level practitioners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering patient assessment information such as height, weight, vital signs, primary complaints, and current medications for evaluation by licensed personnel.
  • Preparing patients for examinations by obtaining necessary specimens, positioning them appropriately, documenting medications, and assisting during medical procedures.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in work areas, examination rooms, and laboratories; restocking supplies and sterilizing equipment as required.
  • Supporting laboratory operations by collecting urine samples and preparing blood specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring accurate labeling with patient identification as per physician orders.
  • Recording patient information in medical records, including updates on treatment procedures, medication refills, test outcomes, and patient inquiries.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program accredited by a recognized body or equivalent military training and experience is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a physician's office is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized national professional association is required. Candidates may be considered provisionally upon receiving confirmation of certification exam completion with a provisional passing score. AHA BLS-HCP Certification is also mandatory.

Additional Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with the public. Proficiency in computer systems to manage databases and perform job functions is required. Problem-solving abilities and keyboarding skills for electronic medical records are necessary.
