Job Summary:

Oaks Senior Living, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Culinary Services to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the food service program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement weekly menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents, while ensuring compliance with Oaks Senior Living's policies and procedures.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, ensuring proper storage and handling of food, and adhering to infection control standards.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and train food service employees, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and quality food preparation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of food and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local health department regulations, Oaks Senior Living policies, and state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a chef/cook in a long-term care setting, with a certificate in food preparation training preferred.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours a day, sit for up to two hours a day, and frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
