Job Summary:
The Concurrent Review Case Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that medical treatment meets established guidelines. This position involves telephonic monitoring and documentation of patient treatment, as well as monitoring progress toward recovery for early identification of continuing care needs.
Responsibilities:
- Telephonic monitoring of patient treatment
- Documentation of medical treatment and comparison to established criteria
- Monitoring patient progress toward recovery
- Identification of continuing care needs
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Five years of nursing experience or three years of experience in medical social work with an emphasis on case management
- TX RN license or TX LCSW license, valid Texas Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in area of specialization
- Proven program development skills
- At least 2 years of experience in case management/utilization review
