Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Manager to join our team at Interim HealthCare - Houston, TX (McCoy). As a key member of our home health team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and compliance of patient records, ensuring quality care across our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the collection, storage, and retrieval of physician orders and patient medical records.
  • Ensure records are maintained in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Implement and maintain procedures in the Axxess EMR system.
  • Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for recordkeeping and compliance.
  • Provide training to staff on proper documentation practices and compliance requirements.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or compliance violations in medical records.
  • Oversee the input and updating of patient information in Axxess.
  • Generate and review reports to monitor the quality and integrity of patient records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry for patient care and billing purposes.
  • Supervise and train medical records/orders staff as needed.
  • Prepare and present reports on medical records/orders management to senior management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical records/orders management in a home health setting.
  • Experience with Axxess EMR software.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
