Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Director to lead our transitional family residence serving families with children. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the residence operates in accordance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a multi-disciplinary team, including Social Service Supervisors, Housing Coordinators, Case Managers, and Administrative Assistants.
  • Coordinate services provided by Employment Specialists, Child Care staff, and Recreation staff to ensure an integrated service plan.
  • Provide coaching, training, and staff development to all staff in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure new staff orientation is provided to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Monitor the Client Assistance and Rehousing Enterprise System (CARES) database for timely documentation.
  • Train and support staff in the use of Evidence Based Practices (EBP), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Establish linkages with community agencies for services required by shelter residents.
  • Monitor program effectiveness in reaching goals of permanent housing, employment, and family stability.
  • Analyze and develop procedures and policies to ensure quality service provision.
  • Assure a safe and healthy environment by participating in security and maintenance.
  • Manage program expenditures and petty cash in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and public hearings.
Requirements
  • MPH, MSW, or MA in Health/Social Services required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in human services, including three years in a supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with EBP, MI, and TIC.
  • Able to manage boundary setting and cultural reflexivity.
  • Able to provide outstanding customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Able to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CARES and MS Office a plus.
