About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Darien, CT, New Canaan, CT, and Westport, CT offices. As a Phlebotomist, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality venipuncture services to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. You'll also assist with extended scope duties, such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with venipuncture services, ensuring the highest quality standards are met
  • Assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Provide exceptional patient care, answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System 1Life, to interact with team members and complete daily work
Requirements
  • Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT
  • Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program or completion of relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with additional experience with remote teams a plus
