Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Salem Health OB/GYN Clinic. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the clinic patient schedule, assisting with Health Information Management, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-register, register, and check out patients according to procedure.
  • Verify written physician orders for accuracy as compared to the procedure scheduled.
  • Verify insurance benefits to determine eligibility and complete MSPQ as needed.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and payments on past due accounts.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, or an advanced degree, or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a healthcare setting
  • Previous clerk, office, and/or administrative assistant work preferred
  • Previous medical experience in a specialty clinic preferred
