Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Treatment Unit Specialist to join our team at Rosecrance Inc. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in addiction treatment and a passion for helping individuals overcome substance abuse and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise addicted adolescent clients in a safe and therapeutic environment, providing continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner.
  • Provide direct counseling services, including individual, case management, group, and lecture activities on a daily basis.
  • Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to clients and their families, facilitating the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.
  • Supervise and manage the behavior of clients, providing appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
  • Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Monitor assigned clients, consulting with primary counselors to develop and implement individual treatment plans and schedule individual sessions to assist patients with AA step work and treatment plan objectives.
  • Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with required rules and regulations.
  • Develop and present patient lectures, observing, monitoring, and recording group dynamics.
  • Facilitate focal group discussion sessions, consulting with treatment team members to plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shifts.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED and one year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or ability to be certified within 24 months.

  • Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents, and community resources.
