Role Summary:
This entry-level clinical role is centered on supporting individuals facing addiction challenges. You will oversee clients struggling with substance use, ensuring the delivery of program services in a safe, ethical, and therapeutic environment that aligns with regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include providing direct counseling services such as individual sessions, case management, group activities, and educational lectures. Collaborate with a team to deliver addiction treatment services to clients and their families, integrating recovery principles into their daily lives. This position offers valuable experience in the substance abuse sector and opportunities for professional development, including obtaining the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license required
- Certification as an Addictions Counselor (CADC) or eligibility to obtain within 24 months

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the work schedule established by the Supervisor, including any additional hours necessary for assigned duties.
- Act as a role model for clients and colleagues, fostering positive interactions.
- Supervise client behavior and implement appropriate interventions.
- Organize and oversee recreational activities for clients.
- Monitor client progress in collaboration with the primary counselor, assisting with treatment plan objectives.
- Maintain accurate patient service records in compliance with regulations.
- Develop and present educational lectures as scheduled.
- Observe and document group dynamics.
- Facilitate group discussions focused on recovery.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to plan therapeutic activities for each shift.
- Review logs and gather relevant information from previous shifts and staff.
Employment Type: Full-time (4 10-hour shifts)
Work Schedule: Specific days and hours outlined by the organization
Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience
- Starting pay for High School/GED: $18.43/hr.
- Starting pay for Associate's degree: $19.37/hr.
- Starting pay for Bachelor's degree: $20.25/hr.
- Additional pay for CADC certification
Shift Differentials: Additional compensation based on shift hours
- Second shift: Additional $.25/hr
- Third shift: Additional $.50/hr
