Role Purpose: Supervise and support adolescent clients dealing with addiction. Ensure the delivery of program services in a manner that is ethical, legal, and conducive to a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards. Provide direct counseling services, including individual and group sessions, case management, and educational activities on a daily basis. Collaborate as part of a team to deliver addiction treatment services to clients and their families, facilitating their recovery journey in everyday life.

Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts

  • Days: Friday - Monday
  • Hours: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with at least one year of experience in addiction treatment or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Certification as an Addictions Counselor (CADC) or eligibility to obtain certification within 24 months.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to work hours set by the Supervisor and any additional hours necessary for assigned responsibilities.
  • Act as a role model for staff, clients, and visitors, demonstrating positive relations in representing Rosecrance.
  • Oversee and manage client behavior, implementing appropriate interventions and consequences.
  • Organize and supervise recreational activities for clients.
  • Monitor assigned clients by collaborating with the primary counselor to develop and implement individual treatment plans and schedule sessions to assist with recovery goals.
  • Maintain client service records in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Develop and deliver educational sessions as outlined in the client's schedule.
  • Observe and document group dynamics.
  • Facilitate focused group discussions.
  • Consult with treatment team members to plan daily therapeutic strategies for the designated shift.
  • Review logs and gather relevant information from previous shifts and staff.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Based on qualifications, experience, and credentials

  • Starting pay for HS/GED - $18.43/hr.
  • Starting pay for Associates - $19.37/hr.
  • Starting pay for Bachelors - $20.25/hr.
  • Additional $0.50/hr. with CADC certification.

Shift Differentials: Additional compensation based on scheduled shift hours

  • Second shift (majority of hours between 3 PM and 11 PM): $0.25/hr.
  • Third shift (majority of hours between 10 PM and 7 AM): $0.50/hr.
