Job Summary
NelsonNygaard Consulting Associates is seeking a highly organized, independent, and motivated junior transportation planner to primarily support the firm's nationally recognized practice in transit and multimodal planning for livable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and data collection to support transportation planning projects
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, maps, and reports to analyze and present data
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop outreach materials and presentations
- Assist with business development tasks, including identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals
Requirements
- Masters degree in planning or equivalent degree with a specialization in transportation planning and 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Or, bachelors degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in transportation planning
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Additional experience with graphics, modeling, or database analysis is a plus
