Environmental Planner

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner to join our team. As an Environmental Planner, you will be responsible for conducting research, field work, and impact analysis related to CEQA and NEPA.
Key Responsibilities:- Write and manage the preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure high-quality analysis and compliance with CEQA and NEPA process requirements
- Train and mentor junior staff on CEQA and NEPA and other planning/environmental disciplines
- Engage with clients through responsive and clear communication
- Assist in preparing public presentations to agency decision-making bodies
- Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance
- BA/BS in environmental science, urban planning, or related discipline; an advanced degree is desired
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience working in California; private environmental consulting firm experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with a large, multi-disciplinary team
- Solid schedule and budget management abilities
- Ability to travel as projects require
- Problem solver and results-oriented
