Job Title: Environmental Planner

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner to join our team. As an Environmental Planner, you will be responsible for conducting research, field work, and impact analysis related to CEQA and NEPA. You will also prepare reports and coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure high-quality analysis and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and field work to support CEQA and NEPA documents
  • Prepare reports and presentations to agency decision-making bodies
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure high-quality analysis and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Train and mentor junior staff on CEQA and NEPA and other planning/environmental disciplines
  • Engage with clients and provide responsive and clear communication
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in environmental science, urban planning, or related discipline; advanced degree desired
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience working in California; private environmental consulting firm experience preferred
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with large, multi-disciplinary team
  • Solid schedule and budget management abilities
  • Ability to travel as projects require
