Process Engineer Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our Operations team for the summer of 2025 as a Process Engineer Intern. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in initiatives to optimize processes for producing Fruit and Vegetable Juices and Purees, as well as Essences.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a team in a best-in-class environment regarding Employee Safety and Food Safety.
  • Support Operations in receiving and processing fruits and vegetables.
  • Participate in initiatives to optimize current production processes.
  • Learn Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles and participate in implementation.
  • Participate in 5S Initiatives.
  • Learn and apply Value Stream Mapping principles.
  • Assist production teams to develop Key Performance Indicators and measure progress versus goals.
  • Participate in Safety Committee events and contribute to process improvements.
  • Be part of New Product and Commercialization initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related field with laboratory research experience.
  • Ability to work safely in Production and Operations environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written technical communication skills, e.g., making presentations and writing technical data/reports.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Reliable transportation required to get to and from the facility each work day.
