Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor will play a crucial role in the effective supervision and operation of venue distribution/warehouse activities, including inventory management, receiving, cleaning, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This individual will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the smooth execution of events and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to established procedures for tracking purchase orders, requisitions, receiving dockets, and perpetual inventory.
  • Maintain and manage sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
  • Assist with Premium Services or Concessions event operations as directed by the Warehouse and Operations Manager and the Concessions Manager.
  • Provide direction to part-time warehouse staff to ensure all established lay-ins are completed for each event, including requisitioning during events, post-event breakdown, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance.
  • Oversee and ensure that purchase order systems are followed for all orders received at each warehouse, verifying proper specification, size, quantity, etc. of goods received, and supervising proper labeling, dating, and stocking of supplies.
  • Ensure proper transfer process of product between locations, including follow-up documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance, and ensure manifested equipment is in location.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of the commissary, warehouse, and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
  • Oversee daily operations as either opening or closing manager on duty.
  • Assist the Office Manager with daily/weekly/monthly sales and AR/AP when needed.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of foodservice/hospitality experience; similar venue experience a plus.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Food service certification.

Working Conditions & Hazards:

  • Exposed to weather and non-weather-related cold temperatures.
  • In areas with low levels of CO exposure.
  • Wet and slippery floors.
  • Extreme hot surfaces.
  • Pinch points and tight working spaces throughout the building.
  • Exposed to high noise levels.
