Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Project Manager to join our team at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives and improving HR processes across the agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and project teams to address complex HR challenges and improve HR processes
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform HR policy and program development
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff
  • Develop and implement business continuity plans and emergency response procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address HR needs and issues
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of specialized experience working in HR's business continuity, workforce planning, or project management areas
  • Expert level knowledge of State of Minnesota's HR Systems and Programs
  • Strong human relations and communication skills
  • Understanding of project management principles and tools
  • Understanding of state processes and policies, including legislative and bargaining unit processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Displays attention to detail, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills
  • Understanding of business continuity principles and practices
  • Experience with organizational change management principles and tools
