Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team at Jefferson Capital Systems. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team and overseeing critical functions such as payroll, benefits, recruiting, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dedicated HR team and oversee daily operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Play a key role in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and policy implementation.
  • Partner with leadership to drive initiatives that enhance the employee experience, manage compensation strategies, and ensure a fair and consistent approach to HR practices.
  • Manage payroll operations, including bi-weekly payroll and audit processes.
  • Oversee compensation programs, including education on total compensation packages and management of variable compensation workflows.
  • Administer benefits, including timely enrollment and removal of plan members.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with key vendors, including payroll and benefits providers.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand and implement HR strategies related to recruitment, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Address employee issues, including accommodations, investigations, performance management, and terminations.
  • Manage performance reviews, including timely feedback and alignment with company practices.
  • Analyze compensation trends and propose recommendations for compensation adjustments.
  • Drive employee experience improvements, including initiatives to enhance employee engagement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Comply with OSHA, EEOC, ADA, and other employment laws, and review and adjust policies to ensure full compliance.
  • Partner with global HR teams to share best practices and continuously improve HR systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate necessary reports.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a combination of schooling and experience.
  • Minimum of three years directly related Human Resources experience, with progressive experience and/or responsibilities.
  • Payroll processing experience within ADP is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms, and Teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion in matters of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, project management, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Eagerness to learn, willingness to think outside the box, accept new challenges, and have fun.
  • Satisfactory completion of background check, including criminal, credit, and professional references.
