Job Summary

The Medical Assistant II plays a vital role in providing patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work under the supervision of licensed practitioners to perform a variety of tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform front and back office skills, including vital signs, scheduling, and patient authorizations
  • Assist with minor procedures, such as EKGs and blood pressure checks
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient procedures and medical records
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments, and maintain equipment
  • Anticipate and proactively plan for practitioner and patient needs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months of healthcare experience and 6 months of medical assistant experience preferred
  • National certification or registration as a Medical Assistant required
  • Current BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
  • Flexibility to meet the changing needs of patients and clinics
