Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect specializing in Information Systems. This role will concentrate on data and application integrations, master data management, and the modernization of systems.

As an Architect, you will champion Zions' digital banking vision and provide leadership to help realize that vision. This individual will act as a change agent, advocate for the enterprise, and will have a significant influence on Zions Bancorporation.

The Enterprise Architecture and Strategy team is pivotal to innovation at Zions Bancorporation. We consistently modernize many of our key banking applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance Application Integration strategies that align with industry best practices, facilitating seamless communication between microservices, external APIs, reporting services, and legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to comprehend the overall Microservices/API architecture and its integration needs with various internal and external partners.
  • Strategize the adoption of frameworks such as BIAN, FDX, and Common Data Language (CDL) modeling for open banking standards.
  • Provide expertise on the implementation, management, and enhancement of Master Data Management systems.
  • Guide engineering teams on performance testing, monitoring, and optimization of APIs and Streaming to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
  • Stay informed on the latest integration trends, emerging technologies, and industry standards, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to development teams regarding integration best practices and tools.
  • Oversee and refine the value chain and tooling surrounding CI/CD pipelines from Application Integration, DevSecOps, and API perspectives.
  • Engage in strategic planning processes, guiding business and technical capability initiative roadmaps.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture by creating reference architectures, patterns, and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in implementing real-time, streaming, and batch integration patterns across hybrid and multi-cloud systems.
  • Experience with Master Data Management systems and best practices for their integration with application systems.
  • Familiarity with modern microservices-based application architectures, including RESTful APIs and Kafka streaming.
  • Over 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture and IT leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence change and lead strategic enterprise IT initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business leaders and technical experts.
  • Ability to cultivate a shared strategic vision and align the organization to achieve clear business objectives.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services is advantageous.
