Brunel is collaborating with a prominent Oil & Gas organization to recruit an HSSE Specialist focused on Data Analysis. This position will report directly to the HSSE Director and will act as the primary resource for all inquiries related to Health & Safety standards, protocols, and training initiatives.

Industry Sector: Oil & Gas / LNG

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, fully on-site (no remote or hybrid options available)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Location: Downtown Houston, TX

Travel Requirements: 25%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and revision of the corporate HSSE program.
  • Support incident investigations, facilitate root cause analyses, and ensure that corrective actions are identified and completed.
  • Review safety training materials for accuracy and update content as necessary to comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Conduct field assessments to verify adherence to relevant programs, plans, and training.
  • Perform additional business-related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a Safety Technician or Specialist role.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety policies, procedures, and standards within industrial operations, natural gas sectors, or liquefaction facilities, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • Experience in incident investigation is essential; familiarity with TapRoot is advantageous.
  • Technical writing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with learning management systems is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to input data, analyze and troubleshoot technical systems, and manage projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of accountability and precision.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US and pass a drug test and background check.
