Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the commercial efforts of our Microscoop instrument, reagents, and service products. This position will report to the SVP of Commercial and will be responsible for leading the execution of product management activities for new product introduction of assays and instruments, sustaining efforts on the existing Microscoop product, and managing the support the overall business needs of the line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Business Plan: Defines and maintains business plan for Microscoop instrument and reagents, including developing and integrated instrument strategy and roadmap and sustaining projects to drive improvements.
  • Market Analysis and Customer Insights: Interfaces with sales and customers regularly to characterize market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends, competitive and technology landscape for Microscoop.
  • Product Development and Sustaining: Serves as primary customer advocate during product development and sustaining projects to regularly evaluate feature requests and product enhancements; drives tradeoff decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Works closely with manufacturing operations, quality, and support on product issues to ensure products meet customer expectations. Educates sales, support, distribution and marketing on product line positioning and specifications.
  • Market and Forecast Modeling: Designs / implements effective market and forecast models with stakeholders to provide granularity at the regional, market, and segment level.
  • Pricing Strategy and Performance Monitoring: Sets pricing strategy and monitors key performance indicators to ensure portfolio delivers against product profitability goals.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in life science field – with experience in Proteomics methods. PhD / MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management or marketing in Life Sciences or Clinical industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of protein biology, proteomics, spatial biology, molecular biology, cell biology and/or mass spec.
  • Product Management Experience: Experience in hardware and reagents product management required including sustaining and life cycle management.
  • Customer Interaction: Must have experience in customer interactions in either a Sales, Support, or Marketing function.
  • Financial Modeling and Business Case Development: Must have experience creating financial models and business cases; strong Excel skills.
  • Market Research and Customer Requirements: Experience conducting market research and developing detailed customer requirements.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Must have proficient written, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Teamwork and Influence: Experience working in highly technical and cross-functional teams covering various internal organizations. Ability to influence across the organization at all levels.
  • Time and Project Management: Exceptional time and project management skills and ability to prioritize competing requests.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Self-starter willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Willing to wear multiple hats as the start-up nature continues to evolve and require different demands as a function of maturity.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel up to 30%. Must be willing to travel to Taiwan and work evening hours with flexible schedules.
