Reports to Store Manager:

As a Retail Team Leader, you will collaborate with your Store Manager to guide store team members in meeting sales performance goals through proactive coaching, fostering a team-oriented selling atmosphere, and ensuring operational excellence during your management shifts.

This role includes being entrusted with store keys to manage opening and closing procedures when scheduled as the acting manager.

Leadership:

  • Collaborates with the Store management team to guide store staff in achieving sales, service, and operational goals when designated as the acting manager.
  • Exemplifies company values and leads by example as an active mentor.
  • Effectively communicates priorities and sales-driving information to ensure store staff is equipped to optimize business outcomes.
  • Aids in recruiting store personnel and promotes diversity by fostering an inclusive store environment.
Performance:

  • Assists the management team in achieving store business objectives, including sales, customer service, and operational targets.
  • Understands how to utilize store reports to inform decisions that drive business performance.
  • Engages in business outreach initiatives and communicates leads to the Store Manager.
  • Identifies performance improvement opportunities and collaborates with the management team to develop action plans.
Operational Excellence:

  • Works with the management team to ensure adequate staffing for effective execution of initiatives and operational tasks to fulfill customer commitments.
  • Assists management in training store staff on all internal operational functions as required.
  • Remains updated on corporate communications, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Supports the management team in implementing store programs to enhance efficiencies in sales, service, operations, and branding when assigned.

  • Encourages a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring training resources are utilized effectively.
  • Acts as a role model for all store team members, providing enthusiastic and motivational leadership.
  • Partners with the management team to conduct regular store meetings, ensuring all team members are informed of company directives.
Customer Experience:

  • Assists in training the store team on customer service standards to create an outstanding customer experience, exceed expectations, and achieve a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Utilizes customer feedback to address and resolve concerns effectively.
  • Collaborates with the management team to ensure the store is visually aligned with brand standards and marketing initiatives are executed as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Retail or Sales.
  • Creative individual with sound judgment and a keen awareness of business dynamics.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and strategic thinker.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in training and developing high-performing store teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools.
  • Capable of operating a computer and POS System.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift, frequently bend, squat, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb a ladder to access merchandise or supplies, and distinguish between fabric patterns and colors.


The starting range for this position is $25.25 and may increase to $31.07 based on merit, length of service with the Company, and other relevant factors.
