Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a Water Quality Compliance Specialist to deliver essential water quality compliance services to our Department of Defense (DOD) clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
  • Conduct research, review, and analyze water quality policies and regulations.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance efforts related to stormwater management.
  • Examine and evaluate storage tank compliance strategies at facilities, providing insights and innovative solutions to mitigate non-compliance risks.
  • Engage in various environmental projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in water quality compliance.
  • Proven understanding of federal, state, and local regulations implementing the Clean Water Act.
  • A valid U.S. Driver's license is mandatory for this position.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide (approximately 50% of the time).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and reasoning abilities.
  • Basic familiarity with ArcGIS and AutoCAD software.
  • Understanding of DOD management practices related to environmental compliance.
