Key Responsibilities

  • Develop recommendations for beneficial uses of ocean waters, protective water quality objectives, and implementation programs using biological, chemical, and physical principles and information.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement statewide water quality control plans and policies.
  • Work closely with the Senior Environmental Scientist to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.
  • Current and valid driver's license (if required for the position).
