Organ Recovery Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Organ Recovery Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the organ donation process, working closely with medical staff, and providing support to donor families.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
- Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
- Coordinate and assist in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management, including logistics such as arranging transportation and ensuring surgical packaging.
- Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
- Update donor information into electronic medical records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Two plus years of prior experience in a critical care setting.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and multitask.
- Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
- Registered Nursing (RN) License.
- Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
- Ability to creatively approach marketing and outreach.
