We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at DCI Donor Services. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clinical staff are well-prepared to facilitate organ donation and provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Training and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for clinical staff, including new hire orientation, ongoing education, and specialized training on referral and donor management, allocation, and recovery.
- Curriculum Development: Create and maintain various forms of curriculum for staff on clinical topics and concepts, ensuring consistency and uniformity in practice.
- Audit and Quality Improvement: Participate in field and desktop audits to identify opportunities for improvement and evaluate training needs, utilizing performance data and trending to inform training strategies.
- Staff Evaluation and Support: Assist with employee evaluation of core clinical competency trainings and overall assessments, providing feedback and coaching to enhance staff performance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, operations, and leadership, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of training initiatives.
- 2+ years prior experience as an Organ Recovery Coordinator or related healthcare role
- 2+ years prior experience as a preceptor/trainer
- OPO experience required
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement training curriculum
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and multitask
- Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills
- Registered Nursing (RN) License preferred
- Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements
