Position Overview

DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to contribute to our mission of saving lives through organ and tissue donation.

With over forty years of experience, DCI Donor Services has been at the forefront of efforts to eliminate the transplant waiting list. Our innovative service model facilitates nationwide donation, transplantation, and distribution of organs and tissues while fostering strong connections with local communities.

DCI Donor Services encompasses three organ procurement and tissue recovery organizations, alongside our specialized tissue and eye banks. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our service to donor families and recipients, which is the cornerstone of our mission.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The Tissue Recovery Technicians operate collaboratively around the clock to recover human tissue, an essential component of the donation process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the recovery, packaging, and labeling of human tissue.
  • Preparing the recovery room and performing surgical preparation of the donor.
  • Executing aseptic recovery of human tissue and restoring the donor.
  • Ensuring decontamination of the recovery area and instruments.

Training involves a blend of instructor-led sessions, practical wet labs, and completion of training modules.

Important Note: New employees are required to have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by their start date or provide proof of vaccination.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting Pay: $23.00 for Tissue Technician I.
  • Advancement opportunities to higher Technician Levels within 12 months, with pay increases at each level:
  1. Technician II: $24.75
  2. Technician III: $26.75
  3. Technician IV: $28.00
  4. Technician V: $29.00

  • Up to 176 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) in the first year.
