About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an After-Hours Call Screener. As a key member of our remote team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of New Hampshire's youth and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, document, and screen reports of child abuse and neglect in accordance with NH DCYF policy and procedure.
  • Work closely with the Shift Supervisor to determine if an immediate response by NH DCYF on-call staff is necessary.
  • Enter assigned calls, faxes, and emails into NH DCYF's database.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in navigating NH DCYF's database and all other systems utilized by the call center.
  • Accurately record information presented over the phone or sent electronically.
  • Maintain the immediate safety of children and their families through sound decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 12 courses or 36 credit hours in social work, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, behavioral science, human services, or related field.
  • Associates degree in a human services related field with two (2) years of experience in human services at/above a paraprofessional or technician level.
  • Microsoft Outlook/computer proficiency.
  • Customer service driven telephone presence.
  • Structured interview measuring possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory performance.
  • Regular NH criminal background checks and Department of Children, Youth and Family (DCYF) Central Registry checks.
