Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to calls and assist customers seeking information about healthcare plans, utilizing standard tools such as a telephone, web browser, and email.
- Select appropriate pre-scripted responses to provide general and claims-specific information.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, including completing timesheets and following privacy regulations.
- Guide callers in completing online applications and submitting them electronically for processing.
- Maintain call logs related to inquiries, confirming which scripts were utilized during the conversation.
- Refer calls to secondary support levels as necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least six months of experience in customer service, secretarial, or telemarketing roles is necessary.
- Ability to pass customer service assessments is essential.
- Typing speed of at least 20 WPM is required.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using a PC and the Windows operating system is mandatory.
- Excellent time management skills and adherence to schedules are crucial.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and select appropriate call scripts is necessary.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, are required.
- Proven capability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
- This position is onsite at our call center.
- Remote work is not an option for this role.
- Our call center operates from early morning to late evening, with extended hours during peak periods. Your shift will be assigned within this timeframe.
- In addition to mandatory workdays, weekend and holiday shifts may be required during busy seasons, with overtime compensation for applicable hours.
