Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to calls and assist customers seeking information about healthcare plans, utilizing standard tools such as a telephone, web browser, and email.
  • Select appropriate pre-scripted responses to provide general and claims-specific information.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures, including completing timesheets and following privacy regulations.
  • Guide callers in completing online applications and submitting them electronically for processing.
  • Maintain call logs related to inquiries, confirming which scripts were utilized during the conversation.
  • Refer calls to secondary support levels as necessary.
Position Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least six months of experience in customer service, secretarial, or telemarketing roles is necessary.
  • Ability to pass customer service assessments is essential.
  • Typing speed of at least 20 WPM is required.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using a PC and the Windows operating system is mandatory.
  • Excellent time management skills and adherence to schedules are crucial.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and select appropriate call scripts is necessary.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, are required.
  • Proven capability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
Work Environment:
  • This position is onsite at our call center.
  • Remote work is not an option for this role.
Schedule:
  • Our call center operates from early morning to late evening, with extended hours during peak periods. Your shift will be assigned within this timeframe.
  • In addition to mandatory workdays, weekend and holiday shifts may be required during busy seasons, with overtime compensation for applicable hours.
