Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to generate new banking relationships, including loans, deposits, and fees, to drive business growth and revenue.

• Lead a team of banking professionals, responsible for the growth and retention of the banking business, and manage a book of banking and lending clients.

• Source, direct, and participate in the development of new business opportunities, partnering with bankers to source and coordinate strategies for enhancing client relationships and developing new relationships.

• Conduct performance management, identify training and development needs, and establish performance standards for the team.

• Partner with Banking Practice Leaders to determine staffing needs, make hiring and termination decisions, and handle salary administration.

• Develop and implement the team's business plan, set goals and priorities, and ensure objectives are met.

• Provide leadership and guidance to banking partners, fostering an environment that encourages partner participation, teamwork, and communication.

• Research potential markets, develop client referral sources, and initiate contact with prospects to promote and sell the bank's capabilities in all disciplines – banking, trust, and investments.

• Identify and solve complex, operational, and organizational problems, leveraging resources within or outside the department.

Requirements:

• Outstanding new business development skills and experience required.

• Deep knowledge of the banking industry and all credit and banking solutions through formal education and experience is required to lead the team and serve client relationships.

• Investment, trust, and personal financial consulting concepts usually through experience are necessary to identify opportunities for cross-selling.

• Decision-making, negotiation, and delegation skills are necessary to lead the team and develop client relationships.

• Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine team goals, resources needed, to assess and develop the skills of the banking team, and to grow the banking business.

• Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance.

Qualifications:

• College degree required and at least 10 years of related experience.

• Manages multiple related teams, sets departmental priorities, and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan.
