Defibtech is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support the company's manufacturing operations and business growth by designing, developing, and implementing software applications for medical devices.

This is a hybrid role, commutable to and based out of our Branford, CT site with occasional travel to our Branford, North Branford, and Guilford, CT sites.


Key Responsibilities:


Design, debug, and maintain software applications used in production of medical devices by developing and troubleshooting code, creating documentation, and overseeing verification and deployment.

Support the company's manufacturing execution system (MES) applications, database, and documentation.
Design, troubleshoot, and document queries, reports, and dashboards for several business enterprise systems (e.g., MES, ERP, CRM, QMS, PLM, etc.).
Maintain strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Complete, test, and deploy planned projects and solutions on time.
Demonstrate Defibtech values on the job. Promote and participate in continuous improvement.

Actively support compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, good business practices, and company documented procedures (including but not limited to FDA, Quality Systems Regulations, safety regulations, and applicable statutes).


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with on-hands experience working with manufacturing and/or business systems.
Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree and more than 1 year of related experience.
Experience with VB.NET/C#.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
Strong knowledge of designing SQL queries and stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server.

Strong written and oral communication skills to accurately convey challenges, requests, status updates, work instructions, test protocols, and functional specifications in a regulated environment.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to drive tasks to successful completion.
Experience working with data integration and/or automation tools is a plus.
Experience working with MES and/or ERP systems is a plus.
Experience working with integration systems (SSIS, Jitterbit, Workato, Zappier, etc.) is a plus.
Experience working with reporting systems (Crystal Reports, SSRS, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to work afterhours or additional hours when required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Hybrid office setting (Office and/or Commutable Remote).
Occasional travel as needed between company sites within Connecticut.

Sedentary work with frequent sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, and short durations of walking throughout location(s) and lifting up to 20lbs.
