Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations and customer requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
  • Compliance and Certification: Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001) and manage certification processes. Conduct internal audits and manage corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier performance.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and develop effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to address quality concerns and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality-related inquiries and issues. Address customer complaints and work to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare and present quality reports to management.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry, with at least 1 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO9001) and industry best practices. Familiarity with statistical analysis tools, quality control methodologies, and failure analysis techniques.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in quality management software and tools (e.g., Minitab, MS Excel).
  • Certifications: Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar is highly desirable.
