Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounting approvals, travel coordination, and card management in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing guidance and support on financial activities and procedures.
  • Review and/or approve accounting documents for completeness, accuracy, funding source, and validity.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and provide support services through program development, enhancement, and measurement.
  • Identify processes and resources to meet customer needs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and university policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least three years of work experience in management performing accounting, complex administrative functions, and/or program coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work, meet deadlines, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online software solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, accounting, or a similar discipline, and ten or more years of experience performing complex administrative functions.
  • Experience with University and/or State accounting and travel policies and procedures, demonstrated experience reconciling complex transactions.
  • Time management skills, problem-solving mindset, organizational skills, and ability to follow tasks through to completion.

Working Conditions

  • May work in a standard office environment.
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
  • Use of manual dexterity.
