The Opportunity

As a Phlebotomy Specialist at One Medical, you'll provide exceptional care for our patients by performing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You'll work closely with our diverse team of providers and administrative assistants to deliver high-quality care and a personalized experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Assist with clerical duties, such as answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and supporting providers and virtual medical teams
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System 1Life
Requirements
  • Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT
  • Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program or completion of relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process
  • A proven track record of persisting through change and learning quickly and effectively
