Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP operates under a hybrid working model. Employees are expected to work at their designated office a minimum of two days per week, with flexibility for those who may not have a geographically reasonable office option. Participation in required firm events and meetings is also expected.

As a Manager in our Tax service line, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, flow-through entities, corporations, and trusts, including associated workpapers.
  • Collaborating closely with clients to provide guidance on income tax matters and related planning strategies.
  • Overseeing the planning and scheduling of engagements while supervising workflow.
  • Researching complex tax issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Leading and mentoring teams of senior and staff accountants throughout engagements.
  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Communicating progress to partners and serving as the liaison between partners and staff.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members and participating in performance evaluations.
  • Managing administrative functions and initiatives such as client billing.
To thrive in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
  • An undergraduate degree; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A valid CPA certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies, and high net-worth individuals.
  • Strong organizational and management capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex income tax challenges.
  • Demonstrated advanced project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing firm technology to enhance client service.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • A strong team player committed to the growth and development of team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with GoSystem is a plus.

This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and considers various factors in compensation decisions, including skill set, education, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate for this position is $140,000 to $180,000.
