POSITION SUMMARY

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding production standards and quality assurance by ensuring the optimal functionality of machinery and mechanical systems. This position involves the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment, adhering to safety protocols and maintenance systems to align with the operational goals of Minth North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and dismantle setups for scheduled production activities.
  • Verify that production processes yield quality components before handover to operators.
  • Interpret and utilize equipment manuals for the execution of maintenance and preventive measures on all facility machinery.
  • Disassemble malfunctioning machines and replace with new or refurbished components.
  • Collaborate with operators during setups and provide guidance on product assessments.
  • Document modifications to manufacturing processes, including adjustments to robots, fixtures, and operational parameters.
  • Establish and maintain welding parameters to ensure production efficiency and quality control.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot automated welding systems and associated equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate downtime by conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Engage in discussions with supervisors and fellow maintenance personnel to diagnose and resolve machine operation discrepancies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Formal training in robotic material handling systems and mechanical skills is advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading and writing, with basic mathematical skills and the ability to follow written instructions.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Must successfully complete the written Industrial Fork Truck Driver Test.
  • Must pass the Industrial Fork Truck Driver Road Test.
  • Completion of Authorized Lock-out / Tag-out Training is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work varying hours and shifts as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting: Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
  • Standing: Must be able to stand for prolonged durations.
  • Climbing: Capability to climb stairs, ladders, or access equipment such as forklifts or presses.
  • Bending or Stooping: Ability to bend, crouch, or stoop to handle inventory or materials.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Hand and Finger Dexterity: Proficient in tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling tools or equipment.
  • Additional Physical Requirements: Adequate manual dexterity to lift and transport boxes, and visual acuity to perform tasks involving counting and verifying quantities.
