Job Title: Office Assistant (Typing)

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Assistant (Typing) to join our team. As an Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Appeals Board by providing administrative assistance, answering phone calls, and helping constituents with routine information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Appeals Board, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents.
  • Assist with typing and preparing document mailings, as well as scheduling conferences and hearings.
  • Work in a hybrid work schedule, with a mix of in-office and remote work.
  • Collaborate with Senior Legal Typists to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality output.
Requirements:
  • Ability to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
