As a CPU Design Timing Engineer at Apple, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timing closure of our projects. Your responsibilities will include working with the CAD team to develop timing flows, collaborating with CPU micro-architects and implementation engineers to drive timing closure, and owning the timing flow on major CPU projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement timing flows using scripting to improve analysis efficiency
- Collaborate with CPU micro-architects and implementation engineers to drive timing closure
- Own the timing flow on major CPU projects, including high-performance CPU designs
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Implementation experience on high-performance CPU designs, including ownership of timing analysis
- Working knowledge of CPU microarchitecture, including common critical loops for timing and low-power microarchitecture techniques
- Deep knowledge of static timing tools and flows, including handling multiple clock and power domains
- Physical design knowledge of device physics and its impact on timing
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant industry experience
