Job Title: CPU RTL Design Engineer

MediaTek is a leading global fabless semiconductor company that empowers innovation and connectivity. We are seeking a highly skilled CPU RTL Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex IP and CPU subsystems, ensuring high-quality RTL code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and accurate results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop micro-architecture, RTL coding, and integration of complex IP and ARM CPU subsystems
  • Run RTL quality checks to ensure high-quality code
  • Synthesize designs and provide timing constraints to the Physical Design team
  • Collaborate with the Design Verification team to define test plans and verify RTL thoroughly
  • Work with worldwide teams to align on specifications and deliverables
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in RTL design of complex IP and/or CPU subsystems
  • Strong understanding of CPU architecture, logic design, synthesis, and timing
  • Proficient in RTL coding in SystemVerilog
  • Good understanding of RTL quality checks (e.g., Lint, CDC, LEC)
  • Working knowledge in other domains like DV, DFT, and PD
  • Strong debugging and scripting skills (Perl, Python, Tcl)
  • Good communication and general aptitude

  • Prior industry experience in RTL design of IP and/or CPU subsystems
