Power Engineer Role at Apple

As a CPU Power Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for driving the overall dynamic and static power of the core for various use cases. You will work closely with micro-architects, RTL, physical designers, library, and technology teams to study and drive power reduction opportunities. Your key responsibilities will include budgeting, measurement, and analysis of overall CPU power, collaborating with micro-architects and RTL teams to define traces and metrics of interest to track power for various use cases, and working with the design implementation team to optimize design operating points and power efficiency.

Key Qualifications

* Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
* Familiarity with high-performance microprocessor architecture
* Knowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications
* Understanding of low-power microarchitecture and implementation techniques
* Design experience in deep submicron technologies and basic device physics
* Experience with scripting in Perl and C is required
